Uses only 1 color and 1 black ink cartridge, has paper-saving two-sided printing, likes the document feeder for easy copying. Fax and scan are user-friendly. This is my second purchase of this model printer. The first one took 2 years before it could be scanned or copied so I couldn’t use it for anything but printing. The price is high compared to similar models and most new models use 3 different color ink cartridges. Would it have rated so well if it wasn’t for the fact that my first one only lasted 2 years.

Not too many whistles. Make sure you go online to download your drivers. You can deselect the custom marketing items you want hp to load on your computer. Choose carefully. Don’t use a disc if you have Windows 10. I like the anywhere, anytime email print feature by sending print jobs to your printer’s email address. If you don’t use ink your phone will be remembered. Just struggle through the warning window and Print! This is a good value. This is a modification.
The printer looks good. I have not tried to make a photo or FAX. I decided I wanted an Ethernet port over FAX. So far the use of ink seems reasonable. Scanner works like copy function. The printer is easy to set up and use. The touch screen is small. I had to download and run Scan Doctor to get the printer talking to my W10 computer. I decided to buy my own cartridges. Buying direct from HP seems like the easiest way to get a replacement and the same price at a local discount store which for me is 30 miles away.
New in brown box as expected. Clean and ready for setup. The only important thing is how to enter the wifi key. Select the setup through the software and I put it back on the printer’s little keyboard. Tape but doable. No ink, because I have 2 61 cartridges from my old hp. Why choose this model.
I love that it does everything including fax. I don’t have a fax set up yet but I can make copies and print on the internet. I ran out of black ink and needed to print a copy of a bank statement so I just removed the black cartridge and the copy still printed and was very clear. I haven’t experienced paper jam but I like it because it’s easy to fix. A friend of mine had some more expensive printers fail him and I told him about it and he also bought the same printer. I also want to say that I like that it only uses 2 cartridges where my other printer uses 6 and I only use it a few times and throw it away. I had an HP many years ago and I have to say it is a great printer and lasts a long time.
