To change your WiFi password, you must be connected to the Internet. If you forget your WiFi username and password, you can connect to the Internet by connecting your router to your computer with an Ethernet cable. Check if your computer requires an adapter to connect to the Ethernet cable. Once connected, you need to find your router’s IP address. On a Windows computer, open a command prompt and type ipconfig. Press Enter to bring up your computer’s information and type in your router’s IP address. If you have an Apple computer, open System Preferences. Then click on your network name and select “Advanced”. Find your router’s IP address and write it down. Once you have your IP address, open a web browser on your computer and enter your IP address in the URL. Press Enter and then enter your network credentials on the page that appears. Use your old WiFi password or enter the default information listed on your router and press Enter. Finally, find the “Password” or “WPA-PSK Key” field, click on it and enter a new password to change it. 192.168.l.l is set as the default gateway address by router companies and can be used to make various changes to router settings.
